Jadarian Price rookie minicamp report would be great development for Seahawks RB originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Seattle Seahawks lost Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency and will be without Zach Charbonnet for much of the regular season.
That means first-round rookie Jadarian Price out of Notre Dame, free-agent signing Emmanuel Wilson, and George Holani will take on a heavy workload to begin the year.
And for this new RB trio, there's been a development. According to CBS Sports' Carter Bahns, Price looks to be making some significant changes to his game.
"Jadarian Price caught a noticeable number of passes out of the backfield despite only having 15 catches in three years at Notre Dame," Bahns reports.
If Price can become a pass-catching running back for the Seahawks, then their offense will be in a much better spot, and Price will have developed a skill that he didn't use much in college.
Jadarian Price report would be great development for Seahawks
If Price truly becomes a pass-catching threat in the NFL during his rookie season, then the Seahawks spending a first-round pick on Price wouldn't look like an overpay at all.
While his rushing production wasn't great in terms of volume, he still managed to impress with 674 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 113 attempts this past season at Notre Dame.
But, as a pass-catcher, he caught just six passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. That lackluster production wasn't helped by the other two years of his college career.

He caught four passes for 10 yards in 2024, and five for 56 yards and one touchdown in 2023. Price was never a pass-catching RB during his college days.
But now, with this report from Bahns, it looks like the Seahawks are trying to get Price going as a receiver this upcoming season.
This would be a great development for the Seahawks' rookie, as getting Price involved in the passing game would make their first-round pick look a lot better.
