After splitting the first two games of a four-game set, Milwaukee started ace Jacob Misiorowski in Game 3, with Los Angeles countering with Justin Wrobleski.

Misiorowski didn't have as dominant a start as we have become accustomed to from him, but he still pitched really well against the second-best team in the National League.

The Brewers starter threw six innings and allowed just one earned run on five hits. He walked one and struck out six.

Misiorowski's biggest strikeout of the night came in the bottom of the fifth inning when the Dodgers had the bases loaded. Shohei Ohtani was up to bat, but the young ace needed just three pitches to notch a strikeout and get out of the jam.

Milwaukee's ace was able to get a little bit of revenge on Ohtani. The lone run Misiorowski allowed was off of an Ohtani RBI triple in the bottom of the third inning.

Misiorowski picked up the win, his 12th of the season. His ERA dropped to 1.75, the lowest in MLB. Milwaukee is now 76-48, leading not only the NL Central but the entire National League.

The loss drops the Dodgers to 74-50. Los Angeles is still in firm control of the NL West with an eight-game lead over the San Diego Padres, but Milwaukee controls the top seed in the NL for the time being. Los Angeles' 74 wins are the second-most in the NL, but the Atlanta Braves (73-49) and Chicago Cubs (72-52) are right behind as the postseason race begins to heat up.

The Dodgers and Brewers will wrap up their series in LA on Sunday.
