Turning point: Jordan Sambrook netted the go-ahead goal at 9:58 of the second period and the Florida Everblades went on to win 4-1, extending the Jacksonville Icemen's winless skid to seven games in ECHL hockey on March 1 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Three stars: 1. Sambrook, Florida (one goal, one assist). 2. Oliver Chau, Florida (one goal, one assist). 3. Logan Cockerill, Jacksonville (one goal).

Penalty box: Sambrook's goal came on the power play with Jacksonville forward Patrick Bajkov serving a boarding minor.

Around the rink: Florida goaltender Cam Johnson excelled again with 23 saves on 24 Jacksonville shots. … Reid Duke and Oliver Cooper scored for late insurance for the Everblades (34-11-6-2), the latter an empty-netter. … Scott Ratzlaff made 27 saves for the Icemen (19-26-6-1). … Jacksonville recorded a crowd of 10,974 for the conclusion of Military Appreciation Weekend.
