Turning point: Mickey Burns struck the go-ahead short-handed goal at 12:49 of the first period as the Atlanta Gladiators put a speed bump in the recent ECHL momentum of the Jacksonville Icemen, winning 6-3 on March 28 at Gas South Arena.
Three stars: 1. Ryan Nolan, Atlanta (one goal, one assist). 2. Adam Eisele, Atlanta (one goal). 3. Burns, Atlanta (one goal).
Penalty box: Jacksonville's Lordanthony Grissom and Atlanta's Carson Denomie squared off in a third-period fight, and Icemen defenseman Taos Jordan ended the game with a misconduct for inciting. … T.J. Friedmann scored on the power play in the first period for the Icemen (25-30-7-1), briefly tying the game.
