Jackson State football will have five games on ESPN's network during the 2026 season.

The season opener at Tennessee State on Aug. 29 will be on ESPN+. The start time has not been announced.

Four SWAC games will be on the ESPN network, but specific channels have not been assigned yet.

They are the Sept. 26 home game against Southern, the Oct. 17 homecoming game against Florida A&M, the Nov. 14 game at Alabama State and the Nov. 21 at Alcorn State in the regular season finale.


The Tigers' games against Edward Waters on Sept. 5 and Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 7 will air on HBCUGO TV.

JSU went 9-3 last season, losing to Prairie View A&M in the SWAC championship game. The 2026 SWAC championship will be Dec. 5 (1 p.m., ESPN2).

  • Sept. 5: vs. Edward Waters (6 p.m., HBCUGO TV)
  • Sept. 19: vs. Tuskegee (6 p.m.)
  • Sept. 26: vs. Southern (6 p.m., ESPN network)
  • Oct. 3 vs. Alabama A&M in Gulf Coast Challenge, Mobile, Alabama
  • Oct. 10: at Grambling State
  • Oct. 17: vs. Florida A&M (2 p.m., ESPN network)
  • Oct. 24: at Bethune-Cookman
  • Nov. 7: vs. Mississippi Valley State (2 p.m., HBCUGO TV)
  • Nov. 14: at Alabama State (2 p.m., ESPN network)
  • Nov. 21: at Alcorn State (2 p.m., ESPN network)
