No. They chose those guys because they paniced. For all the preparing they did they screwed themselves and tried to get too cute.

I agree to an extent. I think they thought McDougal would be there for them in the 1st, and when he wasn't they probably couldn't agree on a guy. Pace WAS NOT the best guy on the board for us (I hope I'm proven wrong). But, I also think they probably had Pace ranked much higher than any of us would have expected--and they are the "experts." (only very slight sarcasm intended)

I heard they were entertaining offers to trade to the 9-12 spot. However, Graves thought it would be best to get extra picks (17/18). However, we also swapped our 2nd and gave up our 4th so we really go not extra picks.

Then our first rd's are 2nd rounders at best.

I would like to know what the trade for 9-12 would have been. I wish we could hear more about that offer.
