Standing-room only tickets are a real, but far from cheap option for those making a last-minute effort at attending Major League Baseball's 96th annual All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park on July 14.
With game day almost here, tickets that come with seats attached remain available from a rapidly shrinking and expensive online secondary market. Retailers such as SeatGeek, which is MLB-endorsed, StubHub and TickPick were listing prices as low as $600 to more than $3,400 as of July 9.
Citizens Bank Park has an official seating capacity of 42,901, thanks to another expansion a few years ago, and All-Star games typically sell out.
Warning: High fecal bacteria levels found in NJ lakes, at Ocean City beach
Start time for the game is 8 p.m. Five Phillies are on the National League roster, and South Jersey's own Mike Trout is playing for the American League.
Primary ticket sales are through mlb.com. But a secondary ticket market has multiple companies, with a few being stubhub.com and ticketmaster.com.

For high-value package deals, On Location as of this week still had tickets available for its Mid-Summer deal at $3,245, with access to the Home Run Derby, player “legend appearances,” collectibles, and event parking.
For Home Run Derby Only, the cost was $2,095, with legend meetings, collectibles and Citizens Bank Park early entry.
The events building up to the game include the All-Star Red Carpet Show at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14.
Held at Independence Hall, at Market and Chestnut streets, the show is to feature players wearing their best duds. One player is to be named best dressed ahead of the all-star game.
Tickets from MLB are gone, so anyone interested would have to seek out secondary purveyors.

Traditionally, a host city provides examples of local cuisine for the game. Two creations available Tuesday were picked in voting by Phillies fans, a MLB official told the Delaware News Journal.
One is the Revolutionary Rib Melt, which contains smoked short rib, aged provolone, charred onion jam, fried peppers, pickled butter and beef consommé, all on a brioche roll.
The second is Betsy's Banana Ice Cream Sundae. This is made of banana pudding and vanilla soft serve, and topped with crushed vanilla wafers, peanut brittle, hot fudge, strawberry sauce, toasted marshmallow cloud, and red, white and blue jimmies.
In addition, area chefs came up with new takes on cheeesteaks, meatball parmigiana sandwiches and hot dogs. But those offerings are for spectators in the premium Hall of Fame Club section.
Pregame entertainment starts with Emmy-, Grammy-, Tony- and Oscar-winning artist Jennifer Hudson and Grammy winner Patti Labelle.
Hudson is to perform "America the Beautiful," joined by the U.S. Army Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps and the Philly Pops.
LaBelle is to sing the national anthem, accompanied by the Military District of Washington Joint Chorus and West Point Band.
Actor Miles Teller is to narrate a tribute to baseball’s impact on American life.
Boyz II Men is to perform during MLB's Stand Up To Cancer placard moment, in conjunction with game sponsor Mastercard, at the conclusion of the fifth inning.
