Really good to see getting all the draft picks signed. I Remeber in the past it used to take forever to get them all signed and it seemed like they would come out in bunches. Come to think of it free agency was sort of the same way. Which raises a question for you guys...

Is it the new norm to get the draft picks signed faster or is it because the Cards have taken a new approach toward obtaining players via draft and FA?

New norm. Picks are slotted under the new CBA with the players so there's not much up for negotiation.

Well it's a nice new norm. As FA is concerned I like the approach of signing players instead of the players playing us for leverage. Or getting that old guy FA that's washed up. Go Cards

It's nice to have them signed so quickly. It used to take so long that it became a distraction for some of the picks and delayed there development with the missed time and being concerned about their contract.

I especially like it with Nkemdiche. I feel like he is motivated to prove people wrong. I'm glad that won't be delayed!

Ugggh. Remember the bad old days of Andre Wadsworth? Hold out forever, get signed the last possible minute, and get your untrained butt injured on practically the first day. Career over.

With Nkem, there was the window incident. But that was really the only off-the-field thing wasn't it? I know he was charged with MJ possession, but Tunsil had been in the room, so the idea that it was his is not far-fetched.

There is much less off-the-field history with Nkem than there was with Matthieu.

The things I am most concerned about-- "lack of motor" and "not finishing plays."
