Two of the Indianapolis Colts' 2026 NFL draft picks still remain unsigned.
Over a month since the draft took place, fourth-round picks Jalen Farmer and Bryce Boettcher still have not signed their rookie deals. The other six members of the Colts' rookie class have.
Out of all the fourth-round selections, only 11 are still unsigned, according to Spotrac, with seven of those players being the first selections in this round.
Around Farmer at pick 113th overall, the five draft picks in front of him have been signed, and the five picks after him have been signed. For Boettcher, the four picks in front of him are signed, as are the two picks after him.
Perhaps that means deals for these two are close to being done, with the foundation for how these contracts will be structured established by those selected around them.
Spotrac projects that Farmer's deal will be worth $5.4 million, while Boettcher's will be at $5.03 million.
When it comes to rookie deals, there really isn't much wiggle room for negotiating with the rookie wage scale setting those parameters. That said, where some negotiating can take place is around the guarantees.
All that said, there is no cause for concern. As mentioned, there are nine other players from the fourth round who are still unsigned. For what it's worth, the 49ers didn't sign CJ West, the 113th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, until June 13th.
Deals will get done, it's just a matter of when.
