After watching three games with Kyler in Gannon’s offense, would love to hear how everyone feels about Kyler as the starting QB for the future?

Well, 1st of all it's Petzig's offense...and it's obvious they are asking him to trust the process and try to stay within the confines of the plays called. They've gotten more conservative play calls in each game.

Almost hope he goes at this point and succeeds somewhere they put a competent team around him! Talented kid and it would just be so Cardinalesqe for them to draft say the USC kid because of hype and let Murray go succeed somewhere else only to have the drafted kid utterly fail! We’ll see how the season plays out but bashing the best QB this franchise has drafted is getting old beyond belief. Some of you act like he has been surrounded by talent or quality coaching his entire career and just not succeeding…

Well, we’re not allowed to actually discuss him in the thread that gets the biggest group of posters in discussion, so…

There are 5 Murray threads!

Starting another one almost exactly like 4 of them is not going to help the situation you are talking about.

Some forget that just getting rid of him at this point will cripple the team cap space wise. A #1 receiver, minor OL improvements and some competent iDL will do wonders.

Minor OL improvements ? There’s only 1 NFL starter on that line and his name definitely isn’t DJ

I am still convinced that the reason they cleared out all that cap and handled Hopkins contract the way they did, was to make sure they had space to either cut or trade Murray.

Only way this regime is going to keep him is if he 'wows' them... he ain't wowing anyone right now.

Unclear. He looks weak. Still limited weapons and defense knows where he wants to go. McBride is now closely covered, for example. Looks like they are experimenting with the calls. Lots of deep throws when his arm strength isn’t there yet. They are modifying his throwing motion. To me it‘s like he’s a first year QB on a very weak team. I want to see the rest of the season before reaching judgment. No hurry!

No one was saying this the first 8 games of the season.
lol I was saying it before Hump was as signed the extension. He’s had 1.5 good seasons in his career - people’s fandom here are hilarious. No different that Kliffys terrible unqualified @$$ finally getting fired and not a season later folks saying it would be good for the Steelers! Or these same folks trying to sign a 33 year old Chandler Jones to a $15mm++ contract.. both seem to be doing great at their new places of work - smh!!!

Humphries has had a rough year but still a better option than beachum or any other random person.
P Johnson also rough season but hope that he will only improve
Hernandez has been solid
Froholdt has been a mixed bag we could use an upgrade
LG is obviously a revolving door and no one that has played there has been good. Definite upgrade needed.

This. Get some weapons and help on OL & DL this offseason and see what KM can do next year with an NFL caliber team around him.

Humphries had a “rough” year for over 80% of his career.. how many times are you posters going to say this year end and year out ???
