Barcelona have already signed Anthony Gordon this summer and are now reportedly 100% focused on trying to bring in Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.

The Catalans want Alvarez to take over from Robert Lewandowski in the Barcelona attack and are said to have already made a €100 million offer. An improved offer is expected to be submitted after the World Cup.

Yet signing Alvarez won’t be easy and is already turning into a saga, while Atletico continue to insist the Argentina international is not for sale.

But are there other positions that need strengthening this summer? Or are Barcelona right to focus fully on Alvarez before the start of the 2026-27 La Liga season.
