Continuing to dominate on the court for Archbishop Mitty as they look to capture the 2026 Open Division California Scholastic Federation (CIF) Girls Basketball State Title, Iowa women's basketball signee McKenna Woliczko has been named a finalist for the 2025-26 MaxPreps National Player of the Year.

The 6-foot-2 Iowa-bound forward from San Bruno, Calif., has built an outstanding catalogue of honors in just 2026 alone, including being named to the MaxPreps National Player of the Year watch list, a Naismith Trophy Girls' High School Player of the Year semifinalist, a member of the 2026 Team USA Junior Women's Basketball Nike Hoops Summit roster, a 2026 McDonald's All-American, and most recently, Cal-Hi Sports' Winter Season Player of the Year on March 2.

In her 18 games played (14 regular season and 4 playoff games) since her Jan. 4 return from ACL and meniscus surgery, Woliczko is averaging 21.0 points on 69.1% shooting from the field, 37.5% from 3-point range, and 79.4% from the free-throw line, to go along with 11.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

Alongside Woliczko as finalists for the nation's highest prep hoops honor are USC-bound senior guard Seniyah Hall (Geneva, Ohio), South Carolina-bound senior guard Jersy Robinson (Chatsworth, Calif.), UConn-bound senior post Olivia Vukosa (Middle Village, N.Y.), and undecided junior point guard Kaleena Smith (Ontario, Calif.).

After a first-round bye as part of the 2026 Open Division CIF State Girls Basketball Championship bracket, Woliczko and top-seeded Archbishop Mitty will host fourth-seeded San Ramon Valley in the regional semifinal matchup on March 7 at 7 p.m. PT.
