After a sensational senior year that culminated in her fourth consecutive California Interscholastic Federation's (CIF) Open Division state title game appearance, Iowa women's basketball signee McKenna Woliczko has officially been named to the 2026 Naismith Girls’ High School All-American Team.
In her 21 games played this season, the 6-foot-2 forward out of San Bruno, Calif., powered the No. 2 nationally ranked Archbishop Mitty squad to a 28-3 record that unfortunately ended in a 56-49 loss to No. 1 Ontario Christian in the CIF Open Division state title game and in the de facto MaxPreps national championship on March 14.
After posting her 13th double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday, Woliczko closes her senior year with an average of 20.2 points, 11 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals per game on 68.9% shooting, 40% 3-point shooting, and 80.8% accuracy from the free-throw line.
As a result of her stellar play following her nearly year-long recovery from ACL and meniscus surgery, Woliczko earned a spot on the 2026 Naismith Girls’ High School All-American Second Team.
In her four-year high school career at Archbishop Mitty, Woliczko finishes with an average of 21.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game on 63.7% shooting.
While the All-American nod is a tremendous honor, it may not be the last for Woliczko as she hopes to add even more national recognitions to her long list of distinctions.
So far in 2026, Woliczko has been named to the MaxPreps National Player of the Year watch list, to the 2026 Team USA Junior Women's Basketball Nike Hoops Summit roster, a 2026 McDonald's All-American, and Cal-Hi Sports' Winter Season Player of the Year.
Woliczko is Iowa's highest-ranked signee since Caitlin Clark in 2020, checking in as the nation's No. 6 player, the No. 2 power forward, and the No. 2 player from California, per 247Sports. She is Jan Jensen's highest-ranked signee in her tenure as coach of the Hawkeyes.
Now that her high school career is complete, Iowa fans are eager to see Woliczko continue her dominance beginning this fall at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and for years to come while donning the black and gold.
