As Iowa women's basketball navigates through the summer, the Hawkeyes revealed the jersey numbers for their six-member incoming freshmen and transfer portal class.
Iowa's newcomers are sophomore guard/forward Joycelyn Faison wearing No. 0, junior guard Dani Carnegie wearing No. 3, freshman forward Ella Strömdahl wearing No. 7, senior guard Amari Whiting wearing No. 15, freshman forward McKenna Woliczko wearing No. 20 and senior guard Bria Medina wearing No. 50.
In terms of numerical history, Faison will be the first player to wear No. 0 for the Hawkeyes, while Carnegie's No. 3 was last worn by Sydney Affolter in 2025, Strömdahl's No. 7 was worn last season by former guard Addie Deal, Whiting's No. 15 was last worn by Lauren Jensen in 2021, Woliczko's No. 20 was last worn by Kate Martin in 2024, and Medina's No. 50 was last donned by Gabby Machado in 2010.
While basketball season is still months away, the excitement for the Hawkeyes' 2026-27 season gradually continues to grow as the next wave of talent arrives on campus to begin its offseason work ahead of the upcoming campaign.
