As No. 13 Iowa women's basketball continues to attract future high-profile prospects, the Hawkeyes will be hosting a quartet of talented recruits in Mya Wilson (2027), Brinley Altenburg (2027), Ashlee Wilson (2030), and Claire Stoops (2030) for their Sunday matchup against No. 14 Michigan State from Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Starting with Mya Wilson, the 6-foot-1 combo guard stars for Hill-Murray School in Maplewood, Minn., and also plays for All Iowa Attack, a Nike EYBL squad that has been home to a number of major talents, including Caitlin Clark.
Per Rivals, she is the No. 44 player nationally, the No. 4 combo guard, and the top player in Minnesota in the 2027 class. According to Prep Girl Hoops, the Minnesotan is rated as the No. 55 player in the 2027 class, as the No. 13 overall combo guard, and as the No. 1 recruit in the state.
Per Hill-Murray's records (as of Jan. 12), Wilson is currently averaging 25.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game at the midseason mark.
Also joining Mya Wilson in Iowa City from the 2027 class is Brinley Altenburg, a 5-foot-10 combo guard from Sioux Falls, S.D.
Altenburg currently stars for Jefferson High School, where she ranks as both the No. 1 guard and prospect in the state, according to Prep Girls Hoops. While listed as a combo guard, Altenburg is more often utilized as a point guard than a shooting guard. Like Mya Wilson, she also played for All Iowa Attack this summer.
Iowa offered Altenburg on July 24, 2024. The talented guard has collected quite the list of offers from across the nation, including other programs such as Iowa State, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, and fellow Big Ten foes Ohio State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan, Purdue, and Minnesota.
It is worth noting that this is Altenburg's third stop in Iowa City during her recruitment process, having made unofficial visits in September 2024 and most recently, on Oct. 25, 2025, at an Iowa football game.
As for the 2030 class visitors, Mya Wilson's younger sister, Ashlee Wilson, will also be in attendance for an unofficial visit. The Hawkeyes offered Ashlee on April 28, 2025, when she was in seventh grade.
Ashlee Wilson has already proven to be a sensational scorer alongside her sister, Mya, at Hill-Murray School, where she currently averages 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game at the midseason point. That stellar stat line includes a season-high 36-point performance in which she made 10 3-pointers.
Along with Iowa, Ashlee Wilson holds offers from Iowa State, Arizona State, Marquette, Oklahoma, and Big Ten foes Ohio State and Minnesota.
Claire Stoops is a blossoming 5-foot-10 guard from Zionville, Ind., who was offered by Iowa on June 6, 2025.
Along with Iowa, she has received offers from other premier programs, including Big Ten foes Purdue, Indiana, Michigan State, and Michigan.
