IOWA CITY — Class of 2027 offensive lineman Reilly Newman has committed to Iowa football, he announced March 30.
Newman is a 3-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Lakota West High School (OH) product is listed at 6-foot-6 and 285-pounds.
Newman chose Iowa over offers from Northwestern, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisville, Vanderbilt and others.
Here are highlights from Newman's junior season.
Newman is the first offensive lineman to commit to Iowa in the 2027 high school recruiting class.
After securing their second public commitment in the last three days, the Hawkeyes are now up to five pledges in the 2027 class.
Newman joins tight end Jaxx DeJean (younger brother of former Hawkeye Cooper DeJean), defensive back Jake Thies, along with linebackers Gavin Stecker and Braylon Bingham.
