Philadelphia has gone from uncertainty at cornerback to being absolutely loaded after landing Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen on a one-year deal worth up to $15 million. Social media exploded over the move, as the Eagles' revamped defense will give some of the top passing offenses a run for their money, being able to match up with outside pass catchers and in the slot.

Woolen, No. 34 on Gregg Rosenthal's list of top 101 free agents, has been forced to mature after making the Pro Bowl as a rookie and then bouts of inconsistency before playing a huge role in the Seahawks winning a Super Bowl championship.

With the NFL world reacting to the move, we're looking at instant analysis of the deal.

Woolen is a huge upgrade

The outside CB2 position was a weak link for the Eagles' secondary last season as Adoree' Jackson struggled, earning a 54.1 PFF coverage grade while being targeted on 18% of his coverage snaps, the third-highest rate among cornerbacks with at least 400 coverage snaps this past season. That'll change with Woolen, who is brash, confident, and physical at the point of attack.

Woolen has elite measurables

Woolen possesses unmatched measurables for a cornerback as he's tall, athletic, physical, fast, and has top-flight ball skills. Even more impressive, he produced the second-highest lockdown percentage (65%) in the NFL this past season.
