We'll then have 11 games to figure out if KK is a playoff type QB, and whether we want to keep him or trade him back to Philadelphia (since Michael Vick can't stay healthy) or somewhere else. And if we keep KK we should be able to get tremendous value for the number one overall pick.

The bad news is that Andre Roberts, our #2 WR, will score his only TD for the year in our final game, on a long pass from John Skelton, that costs us the worst record. It goes to...................................the Seattle Seahawks.

The really, really bad news is that we'll never lose to the Vikings.

We haven't been that bad since 1958. (last #1 overall draft pick by the Cards) Horrible all these years, but not quite horrible enough.

If the Cards lose to the Vikings it just about ends their season. Then we get to watch 11 exhibition games.

I just don't think that the 4and9ers are going to only win 4 games the rest of the season and to catch them the Cards would have to go a minimum of 7-4. I don't see a team that can't beat either Seattle or Minnesota doing that. With Pittsburgh and Baltimore next they could easily be 1-6 and that would mean winning 7 of 9 to finish.

Of course anything is possible especially with the Cards schedule the last 6 games. The 2002 Titans started 1-4 and finished 10-1. That would be fun though to rally from 1-6 to finish 8-8 and win the Division. We'd be the talk of the NFL. For a week anyway.

I don't see us getting the number one pick in the draft. However, I do see us with a top ten pick and possibly a top five pick. There are some very good OL in the draft this year (i.e. Matt Kalil - USC, Jonathan Martin - Stanford, Riley Reiff - Iowa). I think that is perhaps the way we will go. Bottom line is being a Cardinal fan it's never to early to start talking about the draft.

The Cards would never draft Luck.

1. It makes too much sense, and is far too logical.

2. This organization has always had the attitude of "We gave you a huge contract, so you're playing regardless of performance!!" (Most recently... Levi Brown)

3. No way they eat the investment in Kolb and go with the most NFL ready QB stud since Manning, This organization defines "cutting off your nose to spite your face"

4. Even if they got the pick, traded it ala Dickerson or Ricky Williams.. It would prove the final blow to my thick Cardinal skin, when they draft 5-6 busts/possible serviceable backups with their "windfall".


With each coaching debacle out of CKW.. My respect for what Warner did for this team grows 10 fold.

We've lost 3 games by 8 points combined. You don't get the first pick in the draft by losing a ton of close games usually. Usually you gotta be REALLY bad to get the first pick.

I mean as bad as this franchise has been we've NEVER had the first pick.

still if we somehow get there I sure as hell would take Luck unless someone gave us a ton in return.

This place has always been filled with "gloom birds" Save for a short stretch during the second coming of Kurt Warner... people use this place to vent frustration.. God knows it's saved my wife from a ton of bitching,
