At first I was numb when after Johnson the Cards took Pace, I was rooting for William Joseph. After looking into all the bios, I feel a little better. I'm not jumping for joy but I did like the Boldin pick and Hayes is a good pick-up... McKinnon can't play forever. I will reserve my grade for the end of the season. Joe Montana didn't get selected till the third round and that meant he wasn't endorsed by all the big draft mags. or scouts. I'm not saying Suggs or Leftwich won't do well, but given the history of the draft Suggs could be exposed for a player that played mediocre tackles and failed when he faced a top prospect from Stanford. Leftwich played for Marshall, what kind of competition did he face, come on the next step is the NFL.. he could be another Wynn from SWT? Suggs on the other hand broke the sack record and didn't Moss and Pennington play against the same slim competition that Leftwich did and appear to have been good picks to date.

Its a crap shoot and the gamble has just begun.

Good One

Nice post Jet.

I sorta feel the same way.

Johnson is a kick returner as well as a good #2 receiver and someday may develop into that #1. Graves said they're still trying to get Marcus Robinson for the #1 slot.

McKinnon won't play forever and Darling who we picked up seems to play better on the outside so Hayes is one of those best players on the board kinda guys.

I've always liked Pace and Bolden may be the steal of the draft for us.....he had a knee injury that slowed him down just a tad and before the injury was doin 4.4's.....most say he'll get back to those times.....and both he and Johnson are big dudes.

I like Pace, but not at 18.

He could be a good player though. He has the ability.

Thank you. Everyone has the potential to be a bust. Leftwiftch could continue his stigma of being injury prone, and Suggs could be crappy. On the other hand, the guys we picked up could be solid.

Everyone seems to think it will be the opposite that will happen. That could be true as well, and you people will be saying told you so in a heartbeat. But give them a chance first.

You still do the best thing you can to make this team better I do not feel the Cards did that today. This is the first time I felt this way after a draft so maybe that is a good omen. I liked the Wads pick felt we needed a good RB so was not dissapointed after the Johes pick. Same with Swann, Rice, Shelton and big.

Yeah, I feel the same way, but it's not even that easy. Suggs could do very well for Baltimore. However he might not have done anything for the Cardinals. I would not have been disappointed at the Cardinals taken Suggs at No. 6, but I probably would have felt better about Kennedy, Troufant, or some of the other guys projected to be high draft picks.
