Victor Wembanyama was among the many NBA superstars to attend the 2026 Fanatics Fest in New York last weekend.
The Frenchman impressed in a shooting challenge and participated in the Men in Blazers’ podcast at the event.
Meanwhile, basketball fans will also be interested in one interaction Wembanyama had with a New York Knicks fan.
Wembanyama was asked to sign a Knicks jersey with Jalen Brunson’s name and number on the back.

Victor Wembanyama’s reaction to an unusual autograph request from a Knicks fan
Jalen Brunson’s New York Knicks defeated Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in five games in the NBA Finals.
The two superstars developed a heated rivalry throughout the series, highlighted by Wemby’s shove in Game 3.
Therefore, the fan who asked Wembanyama to sign his Brunson jersey probably knew what he was doing and wanted a reaction.
They shouted: “Wemby! Wemby! Sign my jersey! Sign my jersey please! Wemby, will you sign my jersey?”
Wembanyama responded, “That’s not…that’s Jalen Brunson”, before walking past the young fan at Fanatics Fest.
NBA players are not obliged to sign jerseys, and Wembanyama did nothing wrong by declining the fan after a quick interaction.
However, it has given fans another reason to look forward to the Spurs’ next clash with the Knicks later this year.
