The Washington Wizards enter draft night holding the No. 1 overall pick after winning the NBA Draft Lottery. The Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers round out the top five selections entering Tuesday night.

Projected Top 10 Picks

While trades could alter the board, most mock drafts have the following players projected near the top of the draft:

  1. AJ Dybantsa, F, BYU
  2. Darryn Peterson, G, Kansas
  3. Cameron Boozer, F, Duke
  4. Caleb Wilson, F, North Carolina
  5. Mikel Brown Jr., G, Louisville
  6. Darius Acuff Jr., G, Arkansas
  7. Aday Mara, C, Michigan
  8. Karim Lopez, F, Mexico
  9. Keaton Wagler, G, Illinois
  10. Kingston Flemings, G, Houston

Dybantsa, Peterson and Boozer have separated themselves as the consensus top tier of the class, with many evaluators viewing all three as potential franchise cornerstones. Several mock drafts project Dybantsa to hear his name called first overall Tuesday night.

Storylines to Watch

The biggest question entering the draft remains what the Wizards will do with the first overall selection. Most projections have Washington selecting Dybantsa, but Peterson and Boozer remain firmly in the conversation.

This year’s draft is also notable for its depth. Scouts and analysts have described the 2026 class as one of the strongest in recent memory, with potential impact players expected well beyond the lottery. Teams selecting in the middle and late portions of the first round could still find future starters and All-Stars.

The NBA champion New York Knicks enter the draft with the No. 24 overall pick, while several teams, including the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs, hold multiple selections and could become active in trade discussions throughout the week.

With future stars set to enter the league and plenty of trade rumors circulating, the 2026 NBA Draft should once again be one of the biggest events of the NBA offseason.
