Tennessee is set to open the NCAA Tournament this afternoon, taking on Miami-Ohio in the first round. The Redhawks beat SMU on Wednesday night to advance to this point.

The Volunteers are coming off of a loss to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee is nursing Nate Ament back to full strength after suffering a high ankle sprain a few weeks ago against Alabama. Ament scored 27 points in the second round against Auburn, but struggled against Vanderbilt on Friday. He’ll have another shot this afternoon, with everything on the line.

Tennessee has been to back to back Elite Eights, losing to Purdue and Houston. It’s the eighth straight NCAA Tournament appearance for the Vols — their best streak ever.

Miami-Ohio is 32-1 overall, losing their first game in the MAC Tournament to UMass. They bounced back with an impressive performance against SMU this week, however.

Tennessee is a double-digit favorite in this spot, favored by 12 points (down from 15).
