The Professional Fighters League on Saturday will plant its flag in domestic soil for the first time in some seven months when PFL Pittsburgh descends upon the UPMC Events Center in western Pennsylvania. A brief rundown for those who want to watch the show:

The PFL calls upon two of its Top 10 middleweights, as former Bellator MMA champion Johnny Eblen takes aim at “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 29 winner Bryan Battle in the main event. Meanwhile, American Top Team’s Dalton Rosta squares off with Kill Cliff Fight Club’s Impa Kasanganay in the middleweight co-headliner at 185 pounds.
Eblen enters the cage with an outstanding 16-1 record. However, he finds himself on the rebound for the first time as a pro after a fifth-round submission loss to Costello van Steenis at PFL Champions Series 2 on July 19. The 34-year-old University of Missouri alum owns wins over Gegard Mousasi, Anatoly Tokov, Impa Kasanganay and Fabian Edwards (twice). On the other side of the equation, Battle heads into his promotional debut on a five-fight unbeaten streak. The Ultimate Fighting Championship refugee last saw action at UFC 310, where he eked out a split decision over Randy Brown in their three-round encounter on Dec. 7, 2024. Battle, 31, was later released by the organization after multiple failed weight cuts.
PFL Pittsburgh “Eblen vs. Battle” also features a women’s flyweight tilt pairing Ariane Lipski da Silva with Sumiko Inaba, a featherweight battle pitting Alexei Pergande against Julio Arce and a bantamweight scrap matching Lazaro Dayron with Jacob Thrall. A catchweight confrontation anchors the undercard, as Allan Begosso toes the line against Jack Cartwright at 140 pounds. The prelims stream to ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
