Michigan State baseball has been the surprise team of the Big Ten Tournament so far and will look to keep their improbable run going on Friday morning.
The Spartans picked up a pair of wins against No. 5 seed Purdue and No. 8 seed Iowa earlier this week to advance out of the double-elimination stage and into the quarterfinals on Friday. Next up for the Spartans is a matchup against No. 4 seed USC.
First pitch between the Spartans and Trojans is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Friday. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
Michigan State enters the single-elimination format of the Big Ten Tournament now, with a loss ending their season. If they win, they'll move onto the semifinals and play on Saturday afternoon against the winner of No. 1 seed UCLA and No. 5 seed Purdue.
