Indiana men’s basketball (17-12, 8-10 Big Ten) is set to take on Minnesota (14-15, 7-11 Big Ten) on Wednesday night at home in Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers’ last outing was a 77-64 home loss to Michigan State, extending a late season four game losing streak. This is the kind of opportunity Indiana can’t afford to let slip if it has any desire to even have something to think about on Selection Sunday.
The Golden Gophers have quietly turned their season around to some degree. They fell all the way down to 118th in KenPom’s efficiency rankings back in December and have risen all the way up to 66th. The version of this team that beat Indiana at The Barn was ranked 116th, for what it’s worth.
This game doubles as senior night, with honors taking place before tipoff.
