Denver kept its season alive with a 125-113 Game 5 win on Tuesday behind another Nikola Jokić masterpiece. Reuters reported Jokić posted a 27-point triple-double with 16 assists and 12 rebounds, while Jamal Murray added 24 points and Spencer Jones chipped in a playoff career-high 20. The Nuggets also forced 25 Minnesota turnovers, turning defense into easy offense and finally regaining momentum after dropping three straight games.

Minnesota still controls the series, but health is the biggest storyline entering Game 6. Anthony Edwards (knee) and Donte DiVincenzo (leg) missed Game 5 after injuries suffered in Game 4. Julius Randle carried the scoring load with 27 points Tuesday, while Rudy Gobert remains central to Minnesota’s defense against Jokić. If Edwards cannot return, the Timberwolves will again need depth scoring and another strong home atmosphere to finish the job.
The key matchup Thursday is whether Denver’s championship core can keep the pressure on, or if Minnesota can regroup at home and avoid a dangerous winner-take-all Game 7. With Jokić surging and the Timberwolves battling injuries, this shapes up as one of the most compelling games of the first round.
This is a great NBA matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
