The Carolina Hurricanes stand one win away from their second Stanley Cup as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

Andrei Svechnikov scored a pair of power-play goals on Thursday night as Carolina took a 3-2 series lead with a 4-2 victory on home ice. Jordan Staal’s first-period goal tied the game at 1-1 before Svechnikov’s first tally put the Hurricanes ahead to stay. Sebastian Aho also lit the lamp in the win, and Brandon Bussi, starting his second straight game in net, made 23 saves. Nikolaj Ehlers picked up three assists as well.

Pavel Dorofeyev struck first and last for the Golden Knights, giving them a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal 6:52 into the game and then closing the scoring at 13:49 of the third. But in between, Carter Hart became the first goalie in Stanley Cup Final history to surrender at least four goals in the first five games of a series.
Staal has scored in each of the five games of the series, joining Montreal Canadiens legends Jean Béliveau in 1956 and Maurice Richard in 1951 as the only NHL players to turn the trick. Cyclone Taylor of the Vancouver Millionaires of the Western Hockey League also scored in the first five games of the 1918 Stanley Cup Final.
