Los Angeles closed out a series win over the Philadelphia Phillies with a 9-5 win in Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Max Muncy hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the sixth, and Tommy Edman broke things open with a bases-loaded triple in the eighth. Dalton Rushing homered and drove in three runs, and Eric Lauer won his fourth straight decision for the Dodgers since coming over from the Toronto Blue Jays in mid-May.

The Mets closed out a 3-3 road trip on Wednesday by losing the rubber game of a three-game series to the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3. Marcus Semien and Brett Baty homered in the loss, and Francisco Alvarez singled home a run in the ninth inning as a late rally fell short. Christian Scott struck out six in 3.2 innings, taking the loss while allowing three runs on four hits with three walks and needing 89 pitches to record just 11 outs.

Left-hander Sean Manaea (2-5) starts the series opener for New York, entering with a 4.74 ERA and 1.356 WHIP in 21 appearances, including seven starts, over 79.2 innings, striking out 81. Right-hander Roki Sasaki (3-5) takes the ball for the Dodgers, coming in with a 4.98 ERA and 1.338 WHIP in 17 starts and 86.2 innings.
