During the regular season, the Avalanche were the league leaders in both goals scored (298) and goals allowed (197), showing why they are one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup. After scoring a whopping 14 goals over their first two games of the series at home (both wins), the Avalanche went cold on the road in Game 3, scoring just once, leading to a 5-1 loss. The lone goal came after the Avalanche had dug themselves a 3-0 hole, with Nathan MacKinnon scoring on the power play at 13:11 of the second period, his fifth goal of the playoffs.
The Wild came into the series as a heavy underdog, but now has a golden chance of evening the series at 2-2. Minnesota garnered a lot of confidence in Game 3, knocking starting goalie Scott Wedgewood out of the game after scoring three times in their first 12 shots. Wedgewood had been dominant during the season, going 31-6-6 with a sparkling 2.02 GAA.
This is a great NHL Playoffs matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
