Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan isn't conveying any impatience as he waits on Aaron Rodgers.

The Steelers still face uncertainty at quarterback with the NFL Draft approaching. Khan provided an update on their talks with Rodgers during Monday's press conference.

"We’ve had some great communication with Aaron," Khan said. "Nothing’s changed, but it’s all been positive and good. I said this to you guys in March when we met, he knows how we feel about him, and we know how he feels about us."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported earlier on Monday that Rodgers isn't expected to decide his 2026 plans before the draft starts Thursday night. That could leave Will Howard as their summer starter entering a draft with no first-round locks behind the presumptive No. 1 pick, Fernando Mendoza.

The Steelers have 12 picks at their disposal to bolster the quarterback room, but Khan said Rodgers' pending status won't alter their draft approach.

"We still evaluate it," Khan said. "It doesn't change our evaluation process. We still put the guys up where they need to be. We'll see how it shakes out."

Rodgers also remained unsigned at the start of last year's draft. Despite that uncertainty, the Steelers waited until the sixth round to select Howard out of Ohio State.

The four-time MVP eventually joined the Steelers, leading them to an AFC North title with 24 passing touchdowns and a 94.8 quarterback rating. Khan and the organization haven't publicly disclosed any deadline for Rodgers to decide if he'll return for another season.
