Nine Oregon football players were invited to the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with eight participating in the event ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft this spring.
Several Ducks turned heads during the event, including tight end Kenyon Sadiq, safety Dillon Thieneman and receiver Malik Benson.
With the combine wrapped up, here's how each Oregon Duck that was invited did.
It's not far-fetched to say Sadiq had one of the best combine performances in the event's history. The three-year Oregon tight end ran an NFL Combine tight end record in the 40-yard dash of 4.39 seconds and also flashed his athleticism in the jumping drills while finishing with 26 bench press repetitions.
The former walk-on turned two-time leading Oregon tackler did not participate in any of the measurement drills but participated in media interviews and on-field drills. Boettcher said during media interviews that football was his entire focus and that his baseball career is currently on pause. Boettcher was taken in the 2024 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros.
The Purdue transfer and one-year Oregon safety flashed his athleticism at the combine and was considered one of the many standouts over the event, running a 4.35-second 40 with a vertical jump of 41 inches. Many view Thieneman as a first-round lock.
The often-overlooked receiver played just one year at Oregon but made it count, thanks to some crucial moments late in the season. The speedy receiver ran a 4.37-second 40 and participated in on-field drills.
Canady didn't compete in any measurement drills but participated in on-field drills and media interviews. He was considered a combine riser, despite not running a 40.
Whittington only did the bench press, earning an impressive 24 reps, and participated in on-field drills at the combine. He's expected to run his 40 at Oregon's Pro Day.
The former Texas State transfer and Oregon right tackle did not run a 40 or participate in jumping events but did on-field drills and media interviews. The fifth-year player impressed and also, interestingly, participated in center drills during the combine.
Oregon's starting guard participated in every drill, save for the 3-cone and shuttle, and ran an impressive 5.21-second 40 with a 35-inch vertical jump. The bench press for the offensive line group begins Monday morning.
Oregon's starting left tackle did not participate in the combine, despite the invite, due to a torn knee ligament.
