Texas A&M (23-16, 8-10 SEC) is officially back in the postseason conversation after winning its third consecutive series, defeating No. 2 Arkansas two out of three games, including Friday night's 9-2 win that included two of star outfielder Jace LaViolette's four home runs of the series, as the junior has now hit 15 homers on the year after breaking the program's all-time HR record.

After hosting Sam Houston on Tuesday night, the Aggies will now head to Austin, Texas, to face the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns and former A&M head coach Jim Schlossnagle. This sets up a series surrounded by emotions. Still, the series will be determined on the mound, but the Aggies will need LaViolette to continue making a significant impact.

So, just how good was the future first-round pick against the Razorbacks? LavIolette was responsible for eight of Texas A&M's 21 runs in all three games, batting 417, with a .533 OBP (on-base percentage), and 1.417 SLG (slugging) along with his four home runs. Replicating this performance shouldn't be counted on, especially against a Texas pitching staff ranked second nationally with a 2.95 ERA, while pitcher Max Grubbs leads the country with a 1.50 ERA.

Still, Texas A&M has a chance to shock college baseball again against another elite SEC opponent. While Tennessee and Arkansas haven't played as well as the Longhorns in recent weeks, anything can happen on any given series.
