The 2026 U.S. Open is behind us, and a congratulations for Wyndham Clark is in order. Clark earned his second major championship, and second U.S. Open title, at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club this weekend, despite shooting a lackluster 3-over 73 on Sunday, nearly giving the lead away to Sam Burns.
The PGA Tour was biting its nails wondering if Clark would blow one of the largest 54-hole leads in recent memory after entering the day six strokes ahead of the field.
It would've been a wild ending to the tournament and definitely disappointing for Clark, but perhaps still not as disappointing as LIV golfers performed during the weekend. With 13 LIV golfers participating in this year's U.S. Open, more than half failed to make the cut.
Here are the full results from the LIV golfers at Shinnecock Hills this weekend.
Both Tyrell Hatton and Joaquin Niemann finished their weekends at 1-over par, tied for seventh at the tournament.
Despite their similar scores, Niemann was particularly impressive as he had to recover from a first-round score of 8-over 78, including carding an 11 on Thursday. He shot a remarkable 65 on Friday in order to make the cut.
