With a sweep of South Carolina, Alabama baseball got a boost in the polls.
The Crimson Tide went 3-0 against the Gamecocks for the first time since 2001 and shifted from No. 19 in the nation to No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Now, Alabama (35-17, 16-11 SEC) moves on to the final series of the regular season, in which the Crimson Tide will face the new No. 19 Ole Miss. The Rebels moved up four spots with a 2-1 upset of former No. 7 Texas A&M.
