After a productive four-year career at Houston, Emanuel Sharp believes that he has plenty to offer at the next level and is eager to showcase himself ahead of the 2026 NBA draft.
Sharp was selected to the All-Big 12 first team last season, averaging 15.5 points, three rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 blocks while shooting 37.2% from 3-point range. He led the conference in free-throw percentage (89.1) and was fifth in 3-pointers (97).
The 6-foot-3 guard leaves Houston as the all-time leader in 3s (309) and one of seven players to accumulate 100 or more victories after appearing in the NCAA Tournament each year. He also finished second in free throws (379), third in steals (159) and fourth in field goals (507).
"(I'm a) high motor, high energy guy, so I just feel like wherever I end up, I'm going to bring somebody that can win," Sharp said this week after working out with the Golden State Warriors. "I'm a winner. I have winning DNA that I can bring to any organization that takes me, so I just look forward to that."
Sharp was among the 70-plus prospects who competed in the draft combine last week, averaging 13.5 points, three rebounds and two steals in two scrimmages. He also recorded a 2.8-second shuttle run, tied for the ninth-fastest time among all participants.
The 22-year-old is currently projected to be a second-round pick for his shooting ability, boasting long range and a quick release. He also has a knack for generating paint touches and converting difficult finishes at the rim through contact.
In addition to working out with the Warriors, Sharp has also visited the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings, with other stops on the schedule. He is looking to show teams his overall skill set in workouts by sticking to his strengths ahead of the draft.
"I think that's where a lot of guys go wrong as they get to this level and they try to show off certain things, I'm just going out there, playing my game," Sharp said. "I'm doing exactly what got me here because that's what they want to see."
