I am going to check it out. However, I really do hope not every streaming services starts doing this or you would have to subscribe to every streaming service out there just to watch your shows.

Well, Hulu already has several exclusive shows...and now Netflix. It doesn't bother me, because it's all we have in our house. We no longer subscribe to cable, satellite, etc.

Also, can't wait for new seasons of Arrested Development on Netflix.

That doesn't bother me as long at it doesn't get to be too many streaming services all charging 9.99 per month. You know what I mean? It could get out of hand very quickly.

Still way cheaper than the 100 per month I was spending.

I am on the fence about a Roku or an Apple TV. My issue is sports (world soccer, Sunday Ticket, etc). I think I will prolly get an Apple TV so I can jailbreak it and watch free PPV's. lol

This...We were up to almost $250 with UVerse...Now I only pay for internet and save over $150/month.

its been about a year since we ditched cable, dont miss it at all.

I have three rokus in my house, LOVE it. Went cheap and bought my daughter a similar thing by RCA - dont do it - got her a roku for xmas. The RCA is garbage.

Borrowing a friend's roku as we speak. The HD that is advertised (1080) is nowhere near DirecTV quality. Watched Avengers on the Amazon and Dark Knight on Netflix.

I assumed TV level HD picture and I am not getting it.

Hardwired Roku3 getting over 25 on the download. So it's not the network or the hardware.

Any thoughts?

I dunno, it comes in HD.

Im not tech enough to see the difference between all the different HD feeds. Everything I watch is crystal clear and I dont even have the roku 3. Just the roku 2 XD or HD and HDMI cables.

Maybe its not as good, no idea.

All mine are wifi too.

Kevin Spacey's on the nose monolguiging aside, I really liked this show as a I binged on it over last weekend. but upon thinking about it more...are we really supposed to believe there's any universe in which the President agrees to dump his VP within the first year of taking office? That plan seems pretty...well...ridiculous in hindsight.

One of things I enjoyed most about the beginning of the first season was my not knowing what Underwood's specific goal was. Even when it was stated, there was the feeling that it was too far fetched.

Season Two you know right where he is headed and each episode simply provides movement toward that end. The other complaints with the new season were the constant updates on the 'Tart With a Heart and Captain Saveaho' plot line going nowhere, and overly convenient (or insulting) patsy pressure points.

One other thing, what was the point of the over-the-top, anarchist computer hacker that owns a wine refrigerator?

What do you think the most immediate threat to Francis is in Season 3? Probably the hacker.
"Tart With A Heart" running around and "Captain Saveaho" is dead. Who will keep her in check, especially when the hacker comes looking for her

That would be the 'who', not the 'what'. WHO I think the most immediate threat to Francis would be Claire. WHAT I think the most immediate threat would be is the continued reliance on stereotypes as character limitations. On one of the whitest shows being broadcasted, its fine to show American Indians as only casino operators that distrust the federal government; have dialogue like, "You know how the Chinese love to gamble." (kept waiting for an Asian character to get in a vehicle accident because we all know how they can't drive); and every African American characters' soft point in their armour being a gang-banging past, family in the drug-infested projects, or white women. Those stereotypes only insult and drive away minority viewers. The problem is you start running out of plot-lines. After hiring a few Latinos to play illegal migrant workers, a couple of actors to be middle-eastern terrorists, and maybe one Russian mobster/politician... where else can you go?

One episode left of season one. Things really heated up in episode 10 and 11, finishing the season off very well.

so im not reading any of the thread out of spoiler fear but man did the season end strong and make this a must watch. After the mid season flatline they put the petal to the metal and sucked me in. Watched episode 1 of season two and woah!!!

claires I will let your baby wither away ruthless retort to her ex co worker was raw and I cant believe Frank killed Zoe! I totally thought they were going to hit reset, float a story about the girl he wants to be whip and move forward but they twisted the hell out of that plotline. Cant wait to see what is next. I didnt care much about Zoe's coworkers so hoping they fizzle out quick and move on to bigger and better things.

Kevin Spacey is amazing in this too. Said it is influenced by "Richard III", and if I am not mistaking there is lots of monologue in that, just like HoC.

I get that. my bigger problem with the monologuing isn't really the monologuing itself, but what's being said when he does it. it's almost ALWAYS the blunt hammer at the end of the scene describing exactly what just took place in the scene as if the writer's didn't think their audience was smart enough to understand what just happened. that got pretty annoying last season.

I get that for sure, but I love the device at the end of the first episode of Season 2. "Oh you didn't think I'd forgotten about you, did you?" I got chills. Makes us his co-conspirators, in a way.

But most the time he list like the nympho lady on Sex and the City, just summarizing what we just saw in some snappy way. I always hated her little one-liners and I generally dislike his as well.

That scene was awesome. I dont mind him talking to the camera at all, lets you know what he is thinking. The show is twists and turns galore so sometimes its good to hear it. Watched 4 episodes last night, good times. Slowed down a bit but dealing with meat and potatoes.

Iassume they dragged out getting rid of zoes boyfriend just to introduce the new hacker charector to the show, that could have been done much faster. I have trouble with the hacker guy just because hes the greasy weird dude who sleeps with his brother in always sunny.
