Curt Cignetti has nothing left to prove.

Two years ago, Indiana’s head football coach walked into the facilities of one of the sport’s least accomplished programs and spoke of something they hadn’t seen much of: winning. A lot of it.

Two years later, Cignetti was won as much as anyone in college football, leading the Hoosiers to their two greatest seasons in program history, capping off the second with Indiana’s first national championship. For this, he’s now widely considered to be the best coach in the sport.

Both CBS Sports and ESPN have ranked Cignetti No. 1 among college football’s head coaches, with the latter ranking releasing this past week.
