Wow I loved him in the cardinals uniform, but I didn't knwo how much of a draftnik he was. He says he has personaly scouted around 700 - 1,000 players for this years draft. He watches and record a ton of NCAA games and takes notes on almost every player. That just blew my mind..

Anybody wonder how good Corey would be if he spent the time working on his speed (-:

Just joking I think the Cards should have played Corey at Safety from day one I think we hurt his career path by trying to keep him at CB. Even if he struggled early at Safety I think with his ability and his intelligence he was born to play Safety.

Ever heard him break down a player? He's no joke when it comes to the draft.

He's the "Stump the Bouie" of Mid-April.

His 5th Best Player

If he had the 5th pick he would pick Iowa State QB Seneca Wallace.

Chavous was one of the biggest dissapointments of the last 5 years in AZ. Outstanding in 1998 with all kinds of potential and then nothing. Never could figure out why he never developed into the kind of NFL player many, me included, expected.

One thing bothered me about Chavous

The Cardinals taught about moving Chavous to safety numeros times but I understand Corey always wanted to be seen as a top-flight cornerback. When he goes to the Vikings he steps into the safety role without questioning the Vikings.

Maybe after his playing days are done someone will hire him as a scout.

My Corey Chavous story is when he played the Eagles early on in his career with AZ. He had this crazy hair going on. Anyway, after the game, some fans (mostly Eagles fans) were trying to get autographs from the Cards players even though none of them knew who the players were. They kept asking me. Well, I recognized Chavous right away with that hair. He seemed surprised anyone in Philly knew who he was. Signed some autographs. Really nice guy, even though he wasn't always the best player.
