HOLLAND - Sadie DuBois spent the past four years competing with the top divers in the state - and proving she was one of them.
Now, the Holland Christian senior is looking to do the same at the national level.
DuBois has committed to dive at Grand Valley State University next year.
"I chose GVSU because of the environment and the team atmosphere there. I loved how welcoming everyone was, and the programs there are very good and will help me further my education and diving career to the best of my ability," DuBois said. "This opportunity means a lot to me, I am so grateful that I am able to continue my diving at a collegiate level. I have been diving for nine years now and I couldn't imagine being done with diving in high school."

GVSU has produced multiple NCAA diving champions in the past five years and its program has scored major points for the Lakers, who have become a top 10 team at the national level in Division II.
"I hope to accomplish many things at GVSU like growing as a diver, being able to get better and compete at a higher level," she said.
DuBois, who hopes to study psychology, finished fourth at the Division 3 state finals in November.
"Sadie worked hard on both the mental and physical aspects of her diving this year. She also worked on the little things that made her dives better and stronger," Holland Christian coach Diane Riemersma said. "Sadie plans to continue diving in college, and I have no doubt she will continue to grow as an athlete and a young lady."
