ROCHESTER — Rain couldn't stop Hilton in the Section V high school softball quarterfinals.
No. 3 Hilton defeated No. 6 Spencerport, 10-9, in a Class AA1 battle. Timely hitting and quality defense helped the Cadets fend off both the upset-minded Rangers and the inclement conditions in which they played.
Playoff scoreboard: Follow Section V high school softball playoffs through our scoreboard
Weather reased Hilton's homefield advantage. A 9 a.m. first pitch at Greece Odyssey, however, did not deter the Cadets.
Watch game highlights plus interviews with with Hilton players in the video above. The Cadets will play in the Section V Class AA1 semifinals on Wednesday, May 24.
