Waverly's boys and girls teams were the champions of the Zane Trace Invitational on April 22. The girls scored 114 points, while Amanda-Clearcreek came in second (110 points) and Adena was third (76.5). The boys scored 121 points, while Washington came in second (104) and Zane Trace came in third (92.5).
In baseball and softball, it seemed like it was two days full of walk-off wins.

Huntington 8, Southeastern 7: The Lady Huntsmen had to come back from a 7-0 deficit to win it. Ava Poetter was the hero of this story as she had a two-RBI walk-off single. Savannah Bushatz hit a homer on a 2-for-3 night with two runs and two RBIs. Tori Smith went 2-for-3 with a run. Southeastern's Dylan Skaggs was 2-for-2 with two runs. Jade Turner was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Ava Cyrus was 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Piketon 10, Paint Valley 0: Aubrey Heath was 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, two runs, three RBIs and a stolen base. Kyndall Carroll went five innings, two hits and struck out 11. Kenley Maynard went 2-for-3 with a run, two RBIs and a stolen base. For the Bearcats, Claire Allen went 1-for-2.
Unioto 14, Adena 4: Kendall Walker was the winning pitcher, going five innings, giving up three earned runs, two walks, and striking out seven. Haylee Hull went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, four runs and an RBI. Peytan Robinson went 2-for-3 with a homer, a double, two runs and four RBI. For Adena, Marly Halcomb hit a homer, scored twice and had two RBI. Leah Pettie went 1-for-2 with a run.
Zane Trace 11, Westfall 5: Brynn Wipert gave up five hits, three earned runs, three walks and struck out five in the win. Hillsboro 18, Chillicothe 0: Hillsboro scored 11 runs in the third inning on its way to victory. For the Cavaliers, Alyssa Dudley was 1-for-2.

Hillsboro 16, Chillicothe 0: Hillsboro shut out the Cavaliers for the second straight game.
Logan Elm 10, Unioto 0: Logan Elm put up five runs in the fourth inning to get a 6-0 lead on the Shermans who were unable to score. They were held to five hits in the game.
Piketon 28, Western 3: Aubrey Heath had two home runs on a night she went 5-for-6 with six runs, and three RBIs. Ava Ricer also hit a homer, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs. Addy Blakeman, Heath, Ricer, Jaylin Forbes and Reece Shanks all had doubles. Forbes and Briar Penwell both had doubles. Saydi Childers went four innings, giving up six hits, three runs and striking out eight.
Monday
Chillicothe 5, Hillsboro 4: Trent Wade threw a complete 7-inning game, giving up four runs, and struck out 11. He also had two hits and three RBIs. Truitt McGlone had one hits and two RBIs. Mason Brown was hit by a pitch, had a walk and two stolen bases. Vincent Haller had one hits and two HBP. TJ Barr had one hit and one HBP. Jack Oyer had a hit and a walk. Tay Harris had a double.
Unioto 10, Adena 0: Blake Sanders gave up three hits and two walks in five innings of pitching. He struck out one. Caden Speakman went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Keegan Snyder went 1-for-2 with two runs, and an RBI. Callaway Ratliff went 1-for-3 with a run and three RBIs. Jaxon Zickafoose went 1-for-3 with two runs and a stolen base.
Piketon 4, Paint Valley 3 (8 innings): Zack Hannah had an RBI single for the walk-off win. He went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base. Noah Ross was the winning pitcher, going 2.1 innings, giving up no hits, no runs, two walks and striking out two. Mason Roberts went 5.2 innings, giving up six hits, three earned runs, two walks and one strikeout. Jace Ritchie was 1-for-4 with a run and two RBIs. Grayson Roberts was 2-for-3 with a stolen base. Waverly 4, Gahanna Lincoln 3: Kage Alexander singled in the bottom of the 10th inning to score the winning run in walk-off fashion. He was 2-for-5 with a run and RBI on the night. Caleb Cox was 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Chillicothe 6, Hillsboro 5: Conner Bolen's double in the bottom of the seventh allowed the Cavaliers to walk off with the win. The Cavaliers scored three runs in the seventh. Mason Brown was 3-for-4 with two RBI. Vincent Haller was 1-for-2 with a run. Conner Bolen was 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Truit McGlone went 2-for-4 with two runs. Jack Oyer went 6 innings, giving up five hits, four runs (two earned) and striking out four. Aydin Scales got the win, going one inning, giving up one run and striking out one.

Chillicothe 3, Patriot Prep 0: The Cavaliers improved to 10-1 by defeating Patriot Prep 25-5, 25-9, 25-8.
