SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Wall Hawks ease into district play with a 3-0 start.
No. 10 Wall resumed district play Friday night, hosting Sweetwater under a picturesque orange sunset at the Hawks’ home field. Wall entered the game seeking their ninth straight win after a 2-7 start, and they delivered for their home crowd.
The Hawks quickly led 5-0 after just the first inning, but the damage wasn’t done there. Ahead 9-2 in the bottom of the third inning, Wall’s Wyatt Jost drove in the Hawks’ 10th run via an RBI single to center field. This marks Wall’s fourth straight game scoring at least 10 or more runs.
Wall holds on for the 13-3 win, improving to 3-0 in district and 11-7 overall. They travel to Sweetwater for their next matchup on Tuesday, March 17.
