Texas A&M's 2026 Pro Day was highly successful for several players looking to increase their odds of being selected in the 2026 NFL Draft or picked up as an undrafted free agent this time next month. Among the 23 players who participated in the event, senior running back EJ Smith, the son of Hall of Fame running back and former Dallas Cowboys star Emmitt Smith, earned an invite to the annual "Dallas Day" later this month.
Focused on the current roster, coach Mike Elko and his staff led the 2026 roster onto the practice field for the fourth spring practice, and by all accounts, the offense dominated from a highlights standpoint, while starting quarterback Marcel Reed and freshman wide receiver Aaron Gregory continued to gain chemistry and connect on a number of impressive throws.
On defense, senior linebacker Daymion Sanford reportedly shone and appears to be the unit's leader, making an impact on nearly every defensive stop, while the secondary's speed and athleticism were notable in every drill. Under Elko and new defensive coordinator Lyle Hemphill, Texas A&M's defense could be even better than last season's unit.
While Mike Elko stated that his newly assembled roster is a work in progress, it's fair to be excited about the potential in the locker room. Here are the best highlights provided by various beat writers and outlets after Texas A&M's fourth spring practice.
