Alycia Baumgardner retained her three super featherweight titles, while Lani Daniels scored an upset win over Shadasia Green to claim the IBF and WBO super middleweight belts tonight in New York at MVPW-02 on ESPN.
Baumgardner scored a clear decision win over a double-tough Bo Mi Re Shin, then called out Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano — while dismissing Caroline Dubois as a potential opponent.
Daniels stopped Green in the ninth round, leading to some scary scenes in the Green corner, as the fighter was taken out on a stretcher. A later update on the ESPN broadcast said she was alert and responsive backstage, which is great news.
