The Denver Broncos agreed to re-sign running back J.K. Dobbins to a two-year contract on Monday.

After the news of Dobbins' return broke, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero tweeted that the contract is worth $20 million, implying that it averaged $10 million per season. That framing probably came straight from Dobbins' agent, and it represents the max value of the deal if the running back hits the incentives in the contract.

In reality, Dobbins has a base salary over two seasons of $16 million, according to the Denver Post's Luca Evans. The deal includes $8 million guaranteed, and only the first year is guaranteed. So it's essentially a one-year, $8 million contract for Denver, and if it goes well, the team can bring him back in 2027.

The deal gives the team the ability to exit next year if Dobbins struggles to stay healthy. If he does stay on the field, Dobbins can earn $2 million in incentives per season if he hits 1,200 scrimmage yards, according to Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post. Dobbins was on pace for 1,375 scrimmage yards before his foot injury last year.

Elsewhere on the contract front, details for offensive lineman Alex Palczewski, tight end Nate Adkins, linebacker Alex Singleton and quarterback Sam Ehlinger are also now known. View their 2026 salary cap hits below, courtesy of OverTheCap.com.
