Late news

Paolo Sammarco makes a three changes from the XI that lost to Atalanta last week with Daniel Oyegoke, Antoine Bernède, and Kieron Bowie given a chance. Paolo Vanoli, on the other hand, has been dealt a miserable hand, with numerous players—Dodô, Niccolò Fortini, Fabiano Parisi, Rolando Mandragora—failing late fitness tests. Everyone’s reporting the resultant mess as a 4-3-3 with Pietro Comuzzo at rightback but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up as a 3-5-2 featuring Jack Harrison at left wingback and Albert Guðmundsson “partnering” Moise Kean up front. The sight is dismal.

Lineups

Hellas Verona (3-5-2): Montipò; Frese, Edmundsson, Nelsson; Belghali, Bernede, Gagliardini, Akpa Akpro, Oyegoke; Orban, Bowie

Fiorentina (4-3-3, maybe): de Gea; Gosens, Ranieri, Pongračić, Comuzzo; Ndour, Fagioli, Fabbian; Guðmundsson, Kean, Harrison

Forza Viola!
