Rick Tocchet told reporters today that his mom was always his biggest fan. Tocchet said according to her: "I never deserved a penalty, I never had a bad game and it was always the coach's fault (if he did). I could do no wrong. In her eyes, I was Gretzky and Lemieux put together"

Oh man. Tugging on the heartstrings right there. I can't believe he's rejoined the team. It sounds like she just passed last night. I'd be a total mess.

UPDATE: #Coyotes Head Coach Rick Tocchet is traveling to Toronto today to attend his mother's funeral. Tocchet will rejoin the team on Wednesday in Buffalo. Assistant Coach John MacLean will handle the head coaching responsibilities on Monday for the game vs. @NHLFlames.
