Former IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby, who also held the British, Commonwealth, and European straps, made his debut in the world of bare knuckle boxing last Sat. night (June 27) in Cardiff, Wales, stopping Italian slugger Antonio Rizzo in the second round of their BKB 55 headliner.
“Like NWA said, I’ve got an appetite for destruction,” the 39-year-old Selby said after the fight. “It felt amazing, and don’t forget, I’m almost 40 years of age. Rizzo is almost half my age; he could be my son. So, I’m doing it for the 40-year-olds, the 40 club.”

Selby was the hometown favorite, hailing from nearby Barry, Wales.
Elsewhere in the BKB 55 lineup, two-time BKB UK Champion and local hero Daniel Lerwell annihilated former British and European MMA champion Danny Mitchell with a sensational second-round knockout.
