This 49er team could be in for a long season. Losing T.O., Garcia Deese, Stone, Webster and Moran can't be good. I would think at this time most prognosticators will have us finishing ahead of them.
The Rams meanwhile have lost Winstrom, Herring and may lose cb Butler while adding nobody.
Seattle no doubt will be the favorite in our division next year.

I think we are starting to shape p pretty well, HuH?

We haven't past them by yet. Until we play games, we are still behind them as far as I am concerned. The Cards need to earn it on the field, not on paper in March.

I see the Cards on the rise and 49ers on a decline. IMO after the draft and free agent signings; Cards will have a better overall team.

I agree. We still have to beat them twice this year before we surpass them.

LOL!

Erickson sucks as an NFL coach.
And the 49ers have a cheap owner and weak GM.

They got lucky on the TO debacle.
Rattay who knows. They tagged Peterson and resigned Plummer. Overall it looks to be a team in decline.

SEA is overrated they are not that good even with Wistrom. Again Holmgren is an overrated NFL coach. They do use FA though to try and get better.

STL has a mess at QB. A lot of talent on offense. But Marz makes some wierd calls and they lost their defensive guru.

If the Cards can just hit on another FA (who comes through despite age say a Taylor for 2 years) or maybe steal a Madison and if Josh is yet another DG miracle at QB and if they could hit on their #2 and maybe even #3 picks... you never know. If Fitz is another Boldin with a bit of luck and a new professional approach...

The games are played on the field not on paper and on the field the most talented team doesn't alway win. Most of the time they do.

Well the things I mentioned are at least within the realm of possibility unlike barking cats and flying donkies.

DG was a good first step.
Berry is a good second step.

The Cards just need to keep walking. And then they could walk right past them.

Yes we have past them by. They will be lucky to win 6 games this year after losing all the players they have in free agency.

The 49ers? They're not the same organization anymore. The current management and coaching staff will slowly but surely remake this team into a new entity seperate from the Walsh tradition. Here's hoping they embrace a new suck tradition. :D
