The Vikings have developed a solid group of safeties over the past couple of years. While they lost Camryn Bynum in free agency, they turned him from a college cornerback into an upper-tier safety in the NFL. Alongside him, they also had Josh Metellus, Harrison Smith, and Theo Jackson. Those last two have specifically developed a strong relationship, in addition to becoming top defenders for the Vikings.

Harrison Smith is on his way to Canton, Ohio, when he's done with his career, but he notices his teammate, Theo Jackson, who isn't getting the same appreciation. Smith spoke about Jackson to Alec Lewis of The Athletic this week and offered some high praise.

Lewis shared on social media that the Vikings legend was baffled that the Vikings were able to land Jackson in the first place.

"From the day he got here... Like, literally, the day... I was, like, How did he? How did the Titans let him go? That's not to knock the Titans, but he's a good player. ... Everything I've seen from Theo, man, he's got a lot of ability."

The Vikings acquired Jackson after the Titans placed him on their practice squad after waiving him in August of 2022. They had drafted him in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but seemingly gave up on him too early. Three years into his NFL career, Jackson has now carved out a meaningful role in the Vikings secondary and just signed a two-year extension with the team.
